A Message From Our Athletic Director Regarding The Spring 2020 Season
I hope this message finds you all safe and healthy at this difficult time.
As you may have heard yesterday, the CIF made the decision to suspend all spring activities at the end of the school year. I am certain that though not surprising, this decision still elicits feelings of disappointment among our players, coaches and families. I can certainly sympathize with our student-athletes who have trained for CIF playoffs with such great passion and dedication. Our seniors with perhaps even a little more of both.
While hopes of participating in playoffs may be dashed, please know that games and tournaments may possibly still be played. Certainly, there is still much uncertainty about the rest of the school year but Viewpoint, and other schools in our league, are hopeful that, with time and luck on our side, we might create some type of positive closure to the spring season. So don’t stop training and believing.
I never knew how much I would miss walking around campus and watching our Viewpoint athletes train and compete, seeing the joy and intensity in their faces. I very much look forward to those moments returning soon. In the meantime, please be safe and well.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
