Pop Art is colorful and uses everyday objects of popular culture as the subject matter. Students will select an object, selfie, or celebrity portrait to draw and paint in vivid colors in a grid format.

This workshop will introduce you to the basics of creating an original tile mosaic. Session 1 will focus on creating a mosaic inside the shape of an animal. Students will draw an animal silhouette of their choice, transfer it to wood, and create designs throughout with tile. All mosaics will be grouted and ready to hang on the wall. Session 2 gives students is an opportunity to explore mosaic making further, and will allow students to freely create designs of their own choice with tile.

Students will draw, cut, paste, and apply ink to a raised surface to create relief prints. The subject matter will be determined purely by imagination.

This workshop is designed for beginning to intermediate potters. Students will be guided through the throwing process step-by-step and will be encouraged to explore their creativity. Students may register for one session or two weeks to give students plenty of time to practice and hone their skills. If you are creative and you like to get dirty, this workshop is for you...old clothing is recommended!
