A Viewpoint staple since 2022, VOSOVOS 2027 will continue to build upon our work toward amplifying student voice and vision to create an original theatrical event that provides a novel entry point into themes of lived experience and storytelling that courses through the lifeblood of our community. This project challenges a group of Upper School students to explore how their cultures – whether familial, communal, or global – speak to these core issues. Using such innovative workshop techniques as verbatim theater, devised theater, collage, and adaptation, and spearheaded by Theatre Department Chair Scott Feldsher, Guest Teaching Artist Monican Hannush, and Chief Belonging and Community Officer Patricia Jackson, this showcase of student-generated theater will hold up a mirror to who we are at this next moment in Viewpoint’s history.
