Morning routes aim to deliver students to campus 10-15 minutes prior to the start of school. Afternoon routes generally leave by 3:30 p.m. Late buses are available for Middle and Upper School students who have athletics practices, games, rehearsals, or other after-school activities. In light of the staggered stop times Viewpoint introduced last year, please note that our schedule now has two sets of morning routes!
Detailed information about routes and bus stop locations is typically made available in May or June, along with ridership applications. Pricing for 2022-23 is expected to be $10-11 each way per day when round trip service for the full year is purchased, with substantial discounts available for families with multiple bus-riding children and for recipients of financial aid. One-way, semester-at-a-time and single ride options are available, though at a higher rate. Service may be limited by bus capacity, and rider applications are accepted only so long as space is available on the route.
If you have questions before or after the detailed information comes out, you are welcome to contact Nicki Thompson, Viewpoint’s Director of Transportation, at nicki.thompson@viewpoint.org or 818‐591‐6548.
Bus service for the 2022-23 school year has been expanded and we expect there to be plenty of space for everyone who chooses to use the bus to get to and from school. For at least the start of the school year, we are asking that masks be worn at all times by all passengers (as well as by the driver), but we will not be imposing capacity limits or returning to the use of assigned seating.
Please reach out to Nicki Thompson, Director of Transportation, to learn everything there is to know about the safety protocols we follow.
