Independent Study and Viewpoint Scholars Projects complement our curriculum and provide a framework for students to complete self-initiated projects and research with the support of faculty mentors. Together the student and faculty mentor draw up a contract outlining the specific expectations of the project, including the culminating capstone document or presentation. The Viewpoint Scholars Project is more substantial and expands on the Independent Study Project in depth and length of time.
These projects reflect intellectual and artistic passions and become part of college applications for seniors, further differentiating them from other applicants by highlighting distinctiveness as well as excellence.
