Viewpoint's NEW Mission, Vision, and Values!

We are ready.

This week, we begin the 2021-22 school year, marking 60 years of service to our community. As we welcome Middle and Upper School students back tomorrow, and Primary and Lower School students on Wednesday, we are overjoyed to be on campus together.

We have come so far over the last year and a half, learning our way through the pandemic—and we continue to navigate its impacts, facing the challenge with strength. I am grateful for your collaboration and so very optimistic about the year ahead, as we welcome over 250 new Viewpoint students to join our Patriot family and connect through our traditions.

Exceptional readiness for extraordinary futures.

These words are both the centerpiece of our evolved mission, vision, and values and our theme as we begin this school year. Building on six decades of excellence, we rededicate ourselves to the ideals and drivers of exceptional future readiness. Beyond our legacy of academic distinction and college preparedness, Viewpoint systematically cultivates the critical skill set and courageous mindset that yield world-ready graduates. We see in them the leaders they are becoming, ready to serve and to fulfill a purpose beyond themselves.

Our promise, this year and every year, is that each individual student is known, respected, and included, and that each community member finds a powerful experience of belonging. Our deeply felt Viewpoint culture generates optimism and resilience, force multipliers for world readiness and long-term success.

Our Viewpoint.

By now, many of you have seen our new visual identity which is part of our evolution. Bridging legacy and destiny, our new logo welcomes interpretation. It’s a window, a frame, a globe, an invitation, and an embrace. Most importantly, it is iconic and uniquely Viewpoint. Tomorrow, new signs and banners will welcome you as you drop off your children, marking the beginning of this rollout. The below graphical poster captures our mission in ways that are relevant for all of our students from our TK through our college-bound Class of 2022.

This month, our campus has filled with growing excitement and anticipation as we prepare for the opening of a new school year. Now it is here--and if your household is like our classrooms, we cannot wait to see what growth and learning this year brings.

Our teachers, administrators, staff, and students--and our extended family as well--are the living embodiment of our values. Here’s wishing us a joyous new school year.

Go Patriots!
