Middle School Adventure Club Enjoy Backpacking and Sleeping Under the Stars in Anza Borrego State Park
The Middle School Outdoor Adventure Club rounded out its first year of backpacking trips with a spectacular hike in the Anza Borrego State Park. Trip leaders and Middle School English teachers Mr. McConaghy and Mr. Young took a group of 10 intrepid Middle Schoolers out for two nights of camping under the stars in a desert blooming with wildflowers. Students carried everything they would need on their backs, put up tents on their own, and learned all of the skills of backcountry travel. Another great success for the inaugural club!
