Join Us for a Community-Wide Celebration of the Arts at Viewpoint School on Saturday, April 30 with the Return of Annual Arts Fest

Viewpoint School is pleased to welcome the community to join us on Saturday, April 30, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. for Arts Fest 2022, a celebration of Middle and Upper School Arts. All ages are invited to enjoy an afternoon of Music in the canyon; Visual Art in our galleries; scenes from this year's Musical and Theater Productions; screenings of award-winning Student Films; and a showcase of our Dance program. Attendees, young and older, are encouraged to participate in a hands-on chalk mural.

Entrance to Arts Fest 2022 is free. All activities will take place in the Middle and Upper School indoor and outdoor campus areas. Food, including Steamin' Burger Food Truck and Kona Ice Truck, will be available for purchase.

Head of School Mark McKee said, “This past weekend, our Upper School Conservatory of Theatre performed Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella in our theater in front of a live audience for the first time in two years. Bringing back live performance reminds us how much our community—how much we as people—NEED the arts, to remind us of our common humanity, help us make sense of the world, and show us what is possible. It has been thrilling to return to live performances, and I encourage you to join us on Saturday for this celebration of the arts in its many forms.”

Kristin Herkstroeter, Chair of the Music Department and organizer of the event said, “After a three-year hiatus, Arts Fest is back! The students are excited to showcase their hard work in a fun, casual, family-friendly format. We encourage children of all ages to attend. It’s going to be great.”
