CALABASAS, CA - February 23, 2026 - Viewpoint School is pleased to announce the appointment of Frankie Valdez as Director of the Girls Volleyball Program for Fourth through Twelfth Grade students. A highly accomplished coach and former professional athlete, Valdez brings extensive experience in athlete development, program leadership, and competitive success.

Valdez joins Viewpoint with more than 14 years of experience at the highest levels of the sport. He currently serves as Director of Sunshine Volleyball Club (Valley) and Head Volleyball Coach at Louisville High School, where he has led the program to three consecutive CIF tournament appearances and helped guide its rise from Division 6 to Division 2 competition.

In his new role, Valdez oversees the Girls Volleyball Program, focusing on building strong technical foundations at the younger levels and developing confident, competitive student-athletes.

“Frankie brings an extraordinary depth of experience as both a coach and former professional athlete,” said Josh Frechette, Director of Athletics at Viewpoint School. “We’re excited to welcome him to Viewpoint and confident his leadership will elevate our volleyball program.”

Throughout his coaching career, Valdez has developed athletes who have gone on to earn NCAA All-American honors, national titles, and collegiate scholarships at top programs across the country. At the club level, he has also led teams to national championships and podium finishes, further establishing his reputation as a leader in player development.

As a player, Valdez competed at the NCAA Division I level at Long Beach State before going on to an international professional career. He represented the Dominican Republic National Team and played professionally in Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and Turkey.
