CALABASAS, CA, July 17, 2026 – Viewpoint School is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Elliott as Assistant Director of Athletics for Grades 4-8, a newly created leadership role designed to enhance the athletic experience for younger student-athletes and strengthen the School’s overall athletics program.

Elliott brings nearly two decades of experience as a coach, educator, and program leader and has a proven track record of developing student-athletes, building successful teams, and fostering positive athletic cultures. She joined Viewpoint on July 1.

Most recently, Elliott served as Head Field Hockey Coach and Physical Education Teacher at St. John’s School in Houston, where she led a comprehensive field hockey program for students in Grades 7-12. During her tenure, she managed more than 100 student-athletes and guided her varsity teams to back-to-back conference championships and national rankings.

In her new role, Elliott will oversee athletics programming for students in Grades 4-8, focusing on enhancing the Lower and Middle School athletic experience, strengthening connections to Upper School athletics, and fostering leadership, teamwork, and character development through sports.

Prior to her time at St. John’s, Elliott held leadership positions at River Oaks Baptist School and Duchesne Academy, where she focused extensively on Middle School athletics. Her experience includes developing age-appropriate training programs, coordinating multi-team athletic offerings, and helping student-athletes build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of sports.
