Viewpoint School is dedicated to the appropriate and mindful incorporation of technology into the core academic subjects and the arts. The Computer Science Department, chaired by Ms. Laurie Allen, is staffed with experts in Primary, Lower, Middle, and Upper School pedagogy and curriculum to ensure that computers are used as a positive support to learning. The School happily maintains a curriculum, which takes the advanced computer students through Advanced Placement Computing, Robotics, Digital Media, Digital Film, and Object-Oriented Programming. Viewpoint School, however, recognizes that computers are not an end in and of themselves for all students. Learning with computers on this campus is primarily directed at reinforcement and facilitation of lessons in English, social studies, math, foreign languages, science, and the arts.
