The Magic of Make Believe in Primary and Lower Schools
“What makes a story a fairy tale?” This was the question posed by the performers in the Third Grade’s production of the charming Once Upon A Time. Their answer: Stories that are written for children with a touch of magic.
Each year, the Third Graders take the audience on a magical journey through some of Disney’s most beloved stories. Using song and narrative, the children—dressed in fantastic costumes—tell the beloved stories of Snow White and Seven Dwarves, Pinocchio, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, The Lion King, and Toy Story.
The Second Graders brought their own magic to the stage with their enchanting production of the Wizard of Oz. The audience delighted in hearing the many wonderful songs as the performers traveled from a farm in Kansas to Munchkinland and the Emerald City and back with Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.
