Viewpoint School collects and maintains information on students who inquire, apply and/or enroll and their families for various necessary purposes including admission, enrollment, transcript maintenance, billing, fundraising, emergency preparedness, athletics, and for other uses. The School will never sell personal information and will not release confidential information without your permission unless required to do so by law.

The School highlights student participation and achievement in academic, athletic, artistic, community service, and other areas. Unless the family formally opts out in the enrollment contract, they agree to permit the School to use, in whole or in part, photographs, videos, written extractions, and voice/performance recordings of the student for educational, promotional, and/or athletic purposes in Viewpoint publications, press releases, videos, and Web site without identifying the student by name.

Highlighting student participation and achievement is often best accomplished when a student is named. Unless a Parent(s) specifically requests otherwise, they permit the School to selectively identify the student (first name only in Kindergarten through Grade Five, full name in Grades Six through Twelve) and/or the student’s city of residence when highlighting participation and achievement in Viewpoint’s publications, press releases, videos and Web site.

The School also publishes student and family contact information (name, address, home phone, parent e-mail) in print and electronic versions of the Family Directory. Having contact information published in the Family Directory allows students the opportunity to contact each other for study groups, classroom activities, and social interaction. Unless the family formally opts out in the enrollment contract, they agree to permit the School to publish the provided contact information in both the online Family Directory accessible through the secure, password protected area of the School’s Web site, and the printed Directory provided to every family and faculty member.
