The Upper School cheerleaders attended Sharp International's State Championship competition on Saturday, February 20th, held at Knott's Berry Farm.  It was the team's first competition, and the culmination of months of hard work and preparation.  The 26-member team incorporated stunts, dance, jumps, and a cheer in a thrilling routine to win them 3rd place in the extra large team division.  In addition, the team placed 1st in Showmanship among all divisions in the competition.  The Showmanship Trophy is a prestigious award given to the cleanest routine and most spirited team.  The cheerleaders were ecstatic with their outcome and look forward to competing more in the future.  They will end their season by performing their competition routine for the Upper School at the Spirit Assembly on Friday, February 26th.
