About the VSSA
The Viewpoint School Service Association (VSSA) recognizes the importance of maintaining and nurturing the traditions within the community of our school. In keeping with the school’s motto, "Fide et Amore", which translates from Latin into "With Faithfulness and Love", the parent volunteers at Viewpoint truly enrich the lives of our children "with faithfulness and love" each day through the various volunteering activities at our school.

Great Pumpkin Day
Viewpoint School's first Great Pumpkin Day was held in 1967. What has always made Great Pumpkin Day GREAT are the parent volunteers who come together to make this a wonderfull, memorable day for our children. This community-wide family fun event is an on campus tradition filled with games, rides, food and crafts.

Giving of the Greens
The annual Giving of the Greens is a beloved holiday tradition at Viewpoint which began in 1964. Parent volunteers bind more than 1,000 sprays of evergreens with ribbon, which are presented to each child after the Holiday Program. The evergreens symbolize our abiding belief in the continual growth of each student.

Homecoming
Homecoming is an exciting and spirited event for the whole family! Students from all grade levels, along with their parents, come and root with our cheerleaders for the Patriots, sample a variety of food and drinks, and enjoy the half time show with the crowning of the Homecoming Court.

Parent Education Speaker Series
The Secondary Parent Education program features guest speakers who focus on themes relating to adolescent development in the context of the challenging issues and choices teenagers face in our complex society. The Primary and Lower Schools' Parent Education program focuses more on issues for parents with younger children.

Lunch Programs
Parents serve lunches to the children Monday through Friday in the Primary, Lower, and Middle Schools and Subway lunches on Thursdays in the Upper School. It’s a great way to meet other parents, spend time on campus, and see your children in action. Children’s faces light up with joy when they see you helping serve food.
