Transportation

Viewpoint has an extensive network of morning, afternoon, and evening bus routes designed to serve the many communities in which our families live, and we encourage everyone to consider using the bus to get to and from school! Riding the bus is a great alternative to the daily drive, is fun and socially-rewarding for your child, and offers an environmentally-friendly and convenient way to save money on gas and avoid adding to the congestion that can be encountered during morning drop off and afternoon pick up.

Arrival and Departure Times

Morning routes aim to deliver students to campus 10-15 minutes prior to the start of school. Because of our staggered start times, some morning routes have a target arrival time of about 7:35am and others have a target arrival time of about 8:20am. Afternoon routes leave 10-15 minutes after the end of school. Late buses are available for middle and upper school students who have athletics practices, games, rehearsals, or other after school activities

Detailed Information

Detailed information about routes and bus stop locations is typically made available in May or June, along with ridership applications. Pricing for 2023-24 is expected to be $12-14 each way per day when round trip service for the full year is purchased, with substantial discounts available for families with multiple bus-riding children and for recipients of financial aid. One-way, semester-at-a-time and single ride options are available, though at a higher rate. Service may be limited by bus capacity, and rider applications are accepted only so long as space is available on the route.

If you have questions before or after the detailed information comes out, you are welcome to contact Nicki Thompson, Viewpoint’s Director of Transportation, at nicki.thompson@viewpoint.org or 818‐591‐6548.
