Admission

Welcome to Viewpoint School's Admission pages! We appreciate your interest, and we invite you to browse our Web site to learn more about the wonderful opportunities available at Viewpoint.

The annual deadline for admission applications for the following academic year is January 10.  However, we do consider applicants beyond the annual deadline date for grades where admission openings exist.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions about applying after a deadline.

We are always seeking highly motivated students who welcome a challenging and stimulating academic environment, and a meaningful social environment.

Details on how the application process works are available by clicking on Applying to Viewpoint, to the left.

Tuition and financial aid information is available by clicking on Tuition and Financial Assistance, to the left.

The red link that you see on this and on all of our admission Web pages takes you directly to our online application.  The online application allows you to work on the application at your leisure and electronically submit it to us once you have completed it.

If you prefer paper, that option is available as well, through the Downloads and Forms tab to the left.

Welcome
We welcome you to learn more about Viewpoint School's enriched college preparatory program, one that emphasizes academic excellence within a nurturing environment. Please feel free to schedule a time to visit our School’s 25-acre campus, located in the scenic foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, an ideal place for students to grow, to learn, and to achieve success.

Recognizing that children grow best among their peers, Viewpoint is organized into four divisions, each enjoying its own distinct program and geographical identity: Primary School (Kindergarten through Grade Two), Lower School (Grades Three through Five), Middle School (Grades Six through Eight), and Upper School (Grades Nine through Twelve). Viewpoint nurtures the students’ unique talents within the structure of four smaller divisions which together comprise Viewpoint’s community.

With an enrollment of 1,200 students for the 2012-13 school year, the School provides a ratio of ten students to one full-time teacher to ensure that all students benefit from individualized attention and a personalized style. Viewpoint’s teachers work closely with students both in and out of the classroom, inspiring students with their enthusiasm and love of learning.

The School’s students represent a diverse array of ethnic, religious, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. Fifteen different languages are spoken in the homes of our families. Students commute to Viewpoint School from our surrounding communities conveniently using carpools and the School’s busing program.

We look forward to meeting you during the admission process.

Sincerely,

Laurel Baker Tew
